For more than 150 years, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce has been a leading voice for Colorado’s business community. With a membership that spans the seven-county metro region and includes 3,000 businesses and their 300,000 employees, the Chamber is a powerful and effective advocate for both small and large businesses at the local, state and federal levels.
The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce promotes business through member services, educational programs, cooperative partnerships, and legislative advocacy that balances prosperity with the quality of life. The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit corporation solely supported by its membership. Members include business owners, managers and professionals. Members invest in the organization to support group efforts to make the Monterey Peninsula a better place to do business.
Monterey County Young Professionals Group (MCYPG) is an organization formed to offer networking opportunities to business professionals in their 20s and 30s residing in Monterey County. With over 500 members from all over the tri-county area, the MCYPG is filling a need while serving the community.
The National Council of Asian-American Business Associations (National CAABA) is a 501(c)-3 organization that serves as the national voice for the Asian American business community. Because Asians have over 30 ethnicities in one major minority group, it is essential to have a non-profit organization like National CAABA unite Asian business organizations and Chambers to create effective positive change in the areas of: Economic & Community Development, Public Contracting, Supplier Diversity, and Public Policies.
Rotary International is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
The Salinas Jaycees are young, local professionals. They come from different backgrounds. They have different colors of skin, different religious beliefs, different political philosophies, different shoe sizes. What they have in common though, is the love for a good time and a passionate zeal for creating positive impact in the local community. There are many talkers in this world.
